Is your company ready for ESG?

A free 3-minute readiness check. See what ESG means for you, what you already have in place, and your estimated electricity carbon footprint. It is a self-check, not an audit.

1 · The basics

What is ESG?

A way for companies to show how they are run, beyond profit. Three parts:

EEnvironment

Energy, carbon emissions, water, waste.

SSocial

Worker safety, fair treatment, community, suppliers.

GGovernance

Anti-corruption, data privacy, who is accountable.

Why are you being asked? Listed companies in Malaysia are now phasing in sustainability reporting (from 2025 to 2027, by company size). They need data from their suppliers. Banks and overseas buyers are asking for it too. Smaller companies usually have no direct legal duty, but the requests land on you anyway.
2 · Carbon, made simple

Scope 1, 2 and 3

Carbon reporting counts greenhouse gases in three buckets. Imagine you run a restaurant:

1SCOPE
What you burn yourself

Gas in your kitchen, diesel for your generator, petrol in your company van.

Where the data is: fuel receipts.

2SCOPE
What you plug in

The electricity you buy from TNB for lights, aircon, fridges and machines.

Where the data is: your electricity bill. This is where solar helps.

3SCOPE
Everything else

Ingredients from suppliers, staff commuting, business flights, waste, how customers use what you sell.

Where the data is: suppliers and spend records. Hardest to collect. Big customers ask their suppliers for it.

Most companies start with Scope 1 and 2, because you already have the bills.

3 · Readiness check

What do you already have in place?

Twelve quick questions based on what Malaysian companies are asked to report. Answer honestly. Nothing is stored or sent.

4 · Your numbers

Your Scope 2: electricity carbon footprint

Electricity you bought × the grid’s emission factor.

Where is your site?
kWh / month
5 · Your summary
