Three quick questions — then see what a battery could shave off your bill.
1Your supply
2Your tariff
3Your maximum demand

Find it on your TNB bill under "Maximum Demand" (or "Permintaan Maksimum"). Use a typical month.
RM
Good news: low-voltage supply has no maximum-demand charge. Capacity and network charges are added per kWh you use — however sharply your load peaks. A battery can't cut that part of your bill. The Time-of-Use calculator is the better tool for you.
How this is calculated
Maximum demand (MD) is your highest 30-minute average power in the billing month. That single peak sets the charge for the whole month.
Rates (capacity + network, per kW per month): MV General RM29.43 + RM59.84 = RM89.27; MV ToU RM30.19 + RM66.87 = RM97.06 (2pm–10pm weekdays); HV General RM16.68 + RM14.53 = RM31.21; HV ToU RM21.76 + RM23.06 = RM44.82. Source: Avera Energy, RP4 from 1 July 2025.
Battery estimate: each unit is 16 kWh, 8 kW, 90% usable, indicative RM10,000 per unit. We size for both energy (kW × hours) and power (kW), and show a ±20% range for site-specific installation.
Savings assume the battery cuts the peak every billing month and recharges between peaks. Real sizing needs your 30-minute meter data.
